The design is easily applicable to many applications. From accessible color combos to clean typography lockups, the design should establish a system that makes it possible to create branded, consistent messaging with ease.
Feasible to manage
Whether it's a new color palette, typography system, information architecture, or wireframe, the solution should feel easy to imagine as a reality — and then feasible to adopt, manage, and proudly own by the party in need of the solution.
Agile & flexible
Agile is the name of the game! The solution can integrate with new features and can be iterated upon to evolve and adapt as a business concept grows. Updates shouldn't feel like reinventing the wheel every time; it should feel like expansion.
Meets future demands
While it should be agile for iteration, a scalable design solution should also have an element of timelessness. Technology is always changing, but the design should withstand fleeting trends and offer the most bang for buck without constant refactoring.
