I'm a UX/UI designer with a passion for brand strategy and scalable design.
I'm currently part of the Digital Infrastructure team at eHouse, a Shopify Platinum Service Tier Partner. My client base consists primarily of established businesses that have highly technical eCommerce site builds and large product catalogs with extensive technical specifications. I have a particularly soft spot for implementing solutions that are realistic, scalable, and easily learnable admin experiences on Shopify for my clients.
My career path to design wasn't a straightforward one: before I was a designer, I was very much involved in the operational side of business for seven years. After earning my B.A. in Economics from UCLA in 2011 (Go Bruins!), I found myself exploring what felt like every role except creative in the fashion and food industries — wholesale account rep, account manager, accounts receivable, operations manager, you name it. Every role I've taken on has been driven by the pursuit of understanding how pieces of the puzzle all fit in the bigger picture and investigating hidden correlations between seemingly unrelated elements. Maybe that curiosity for connecting the dots is what eventually led me to the world of UX/UI design.
When I'm not conducting information architecture analyses and wireframing, I also like to keep my graphic design skills warm — I do publication design for Pac Arts Movement's San Diego Asian Film Festival on a seasonal basis, and I've helped a few of my friends develop brand strategies and blueprints for their small businesses, too.
And when I'm completely away from my screen, you can find me picnicking with my friends at the park, sweating it out in power yoga or spin, taking neighborhood strolls, or stuffing my face with yummy treats from San Diego's vibrant food pop-up scene.
